Z Clear is one formula in three formats. This page sets out what the formula actually does, what is deliberately left out of it, and what you can reasonably expect from a single application.

It is pH-neutral and hypoallergenic, which is why it is used in clinical and cleanroom settings as well as on eyewear.
Z Clear is safe on every lens coating we have tested, including anti-reflective treatments such as Crizal, ZEISS DuraVision and Hoya HiVision, plus polarized, mirrored, photochromic and blue-light filtering lenses. Up to 72 hours per application. We recommend re-treating daily.
The 72 hours is what a single application can hold, not how often you should apply it. Humidity, temperature swings, exertion and how often you handle the lens all shorten it. A fresh pass each morning is the habit most daily wearers land on, and repeated use builds the film up rather than wearing it down.
All three formats share the same active formula, so all three hold for the same length of time. What differs is the carrier: the Paste lays down a thicker, more durable film and travels without leaking, while the sprays cover large surfaces faster.
Z Clear goes on the lens, not on the cloth. Your fingertip spreads it. The cloth only comes out once it is dry.
Buffing while the product is still wet lifts it straight back off the lens. That single mistake is the most common reason people conclude it did not work. Full walkthrough: How to Use Z Clear.
